The duplex penthouse at Aby Rosen’s 100 East 53rd Street condo tower is expected to hit the market for a cool $65 million — a $10 million jump from the previously reported price tag.
The 6,760-square-foot Midtown penthouse will take up the 60th and 61st floors of the 94-unit luxury condominium and hold four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Rosen’s RFR Holding was previously expected to ask $55 million for the duplex, as The Real Deal first reported last year — making it the priciest unit in a building with a projected total sellout of nearly $762 million. With the price hike, the penthouse is now asking $9,615 per square foot.
Rosen told The Real Deal earlier this month that most units at 100 East 53rd Street would avoid “crazy numbers,” citing a “very vibrant market” at the building’s price point.
Sales at the Norman Foster-designed project began last week and construction is expected to be completed by the spring of 2017, according to the Wall Street Journal.
